You’ve probably seen lots of recipes or videos that tout almond milk as a health food for smoothies, but that is not necessarily true if you buy it from the store.
Check out the expiration date on what you have in your cupboard. Is it months away from now? Isn’t that a bit scary? How many ingredients does it have? Does it have Carrageenan listed?
Almond milk and hemp seed milk are so incredibly easy to make and are a lot healthier for you. It takes seconds to make it. I will personally never buy the carton stuff again!
For almond milk you will need some kind of a nut bag. This is the one I use. It’s my name, but it’s not mine!
I also recommend investing in a high speed blender. I use my Vitamix daily for one thing or another. It is a fantastic investment. As long as you have a high speed blender, it should do the job.
